According to South Korean media reports, Hynix Semiconductor said today that it will establish a post-semiconductor post-processing plant in Wuxi, Jiangsu, China, with Wuxi Industry Development Group Co., Ltd.
In order to expand liquidity and improve the financial structure, Hynix sold its local factories in China and some of its domestic post-processing plants to joint ventures for US$300 million (approximately RMB2.04 billion).
Hynix Semiconductor plans to increase the proportion of post-processing outsourcing, which currently accounts for about 30%, to 50%, and to save more than 2 trillion won (about 10 billion yuan) in investment costs over the next five years, focusing on the core sectors. - Basic processing and R&D work.
Hynix Semiconductor, a company established in China in 2005, has established a post-processing plant in Wuxi, and it has a complete production line from basic processing to post-processing in China. Therefore, it is expected to increase cost competitiveness by saving production and logistics costs.
Hynix Semiconductor guarantees that it will provide joint-venture companies with orders for post-processing products in the next five years. At the same time, it plans to assign special personnel to operate equipment and develop training to develop specialized post-processing plants.
